Looking to perk up your morning bath time routine? This DIY Coffee & Coconut Oil Body Scrub is just the thing to awaken and refresh your tired winter skin. The coffee grounds are a gentle yet effective exfoliant and the coconut oil leaves your skin super smooth and soft. Also, it smells reeediculous in the very best way possible, just like a fresh cup of coffee with a hint of coconut. I’ve been fighting off the urge to stick my face in the stuff all week.
All you need to whip up a batch is coffee and coconut oil. If you’re not familiar with the glorious wonder that is coconut oil, YOU BETTER ASK SOMEBODY! I recommend, Katie.
Turns out, life isn’t possible with out coffee OR coconut oil.
Simply strain your coffee grounds, heat your coconut oil until its liquified and mix the two together. Are you as excited as I am about this?
Transfer to a sealable jar for storing. As it cools, the coconut oil will solidify and the coffee grounds will settle to the bottom. Its really quite lovely and would make an excellent gift or spa party favor. When you’re ready to use, stir to combine.

Coconut oil needn’t be heated. It’s in its natural liquid form at around 24° C (76°F). I recommend Dr Bronnen’s (spelling?) free trade, first cold pressed, organic oil. It’s sold in Whole Foods or I order it from Amazon if I’m somewhere outside the USA. It’s glorious for everything from moisturising to make up removal. Works great in an huge array of homemade scrubs. I’ve also find it the best product for facial fine line treatment.
