Shop Grand Opening

This is such an exciting day for us and it’s no April Fools!

A little over a year ago we sat in Chrissy’s tiny kitchen and imagined what it would be like to create a company of our own that helped our community and inspired others to do the same. We racked our brains for months and the concept of The Kindred Street was born. Just like all newborns it had (and still has) growing pains; we’ve cried and laughed and pulled our hair out with frustration at times, but it’s all been worth it to create this vehicle for change in our community.

We’re thrilled to have partnered with Solutions for Change, a foundation providing access to the skills, knowledge and resources homeless families need to regain their physical, emotional and economic health and permanently solve their homelessness. Since 1999, Solutions has guided more than 700 families and their 1400 children to a permanent solution to their homelessness, while saving taxpayers an estimated $32 million in public support costs. Solutions for Change is an expression of the community’s commitment to permanently solving family homelessness, for the benefit of the adults, their children and the community.

thankyou girl   finding our way home       thank you

This Be Kind Collection is hopefully the first of many more collections to come. We hope to continue to create apparel and accessories that promote positivity and good. We see this collection as more than just clothing but also a statement that you (and your little ones) are joining us in putting kindness into action. Be careful when you wear this stuff it actually makes you think of how you are going to respond to others and the world around you! Click the “SHOP” option on our home page, or find us on Square Market.  We hope you promote this message and post your pictures with #bekindcollection and tag @thekindredstreet so we can see your lovely faces.

xoxo,
Megan & Chrissy
